Imagine a magical place where people come to gather, create, and watch. Discover a unique experience for adults and children alike. See where dreams come alive in the limelight. Join us at the theatre.

In a world where there is so much to separate one another, the Old Schoolhouse Players (OSP) strives to unite people of all stripes by bringing the arts alive. Working together, the OSP’s volunteers of all skills and abilities help to bring shows to life – both on stage and behind the scenes.

Rich, the carpenter, will teach Mary, the schoolteacher, how to use a power drill for the first time.  John, the mayor of Hickory, will perform alongside Tim, a mechanic, who has never appeared in front of an audience.  Lilly, an 8- year-old student, will sing a duet with Bonnie, an 80-year-old retiree.

While we create a show, we are also building experience, skills, and character for all involved.  Slowly, a transformation takes place. The cast and crew become a family filled with pride as our show progresses from an empty stage to chaos, and finally, to a polished production. It would not be possible without the many hands that play a role in the performance.

Although the audience only sees what is happening on stage, opening night is a triumph for all. Bravo to every member of the Old Schoolhouse Players!
