A Positive Impact

Ever since he was a young man, Michael Harcher has cared about the environment around his home in Beaver County, particularly Raccoon Creek. When Harcher went to Penn State University, he earned a degree in Environmental Studies. When he returned home from college, he realized something needed to be done about the world right outside his back door.

Making a Difference

For over 20 years, Vicky Michaels has worked to clean up the Raccoon Creek Watershed that flows throughout Beaver, Washington and Allegheny Counties. Its forested hills and valleys have meant a lot to Michaels for her entire life.
